IT STRATEGIC CONSULTING

SDG Corporation was contracted by a global integrated communications leader to assess environment for both hardware and process improvements for their IT infrastructure.

SDG was responsible for the Technical Evaluation of the client’s systems. The following functional areas were addressed: Financials, CRM/SFA, Supply Chain Management, Collaborative Engineering, New Product Introduction, Business and Corporate Computing

SDG solutions addressed the following items:

• Alignment of IT processes and capabilities with the business units.
• High-level inventory of Projects & Application Architecture.
• Recommendaition of approaches to projects.
• Overview of Project Approval, Funding and Ownership.
• Overview of Organizational issues going forward.
• Opportunities for improvement within the IT organization.

This project equipped the CIO to effect IT organizational change. Solutions focused on IT became the enabler of business. The organization adopted a proactive mentality to implement best of breed solutions for the business units and serve as a source of technology and e-commerce issues information.
